About Me
- Name: They Call It A Game by Bernie Parrish
- Location: Gainesville, Florida, United States
My Browns teammates and the great Cleveland fans made my years in Cleveland the best years of my life. I will always be a Cleveland Brown. I am an Irish Citizen, mellowed a bit by growning up as a US Southerner. The best selling author of the book They Call It A Game, a world class athlete who led his team to an NFL World Championship, beating Johnny Unitas and Coach Don Shula's Colts 27-0, a Pro Bowler, All Time Browns All Star Team, baseball All American, University of Florida Hall of Fame, Voted best blocker and best tackler in the South Eastern Conference by the SEC Head Coaches, Florida high school legend as they call it these days, making All State in football, basketball, and baseball. Returned half the $90,000 bonus to the Cincinnati Reds in 1959 when switching from pro-baseball to pro-football to play for the Browns because "It was the right thing to do;I didn't earn it." Having a Bachelors Degree in Building Construction from the University of Florida's School of Architecture; as a general contractor I built over $200 million of hotels and other commercial buildings from Chicago to Galveston to Omaha to Indianapolis to Memphis and Atlanta.
